Hi Guys,
We should add a tune for the next session. Lazarus, I think you had some tunes that you wanted to work on? I’ll leave it up to you guys. Make sure that the tune has a good amount of ii-v’s in it and is in AABA or AB song form, 32-bars hopefully.

An Example: what is this thing called love, there is no greater love, or i remember you.

Also, if it isn’t in the realbook then please post a digital copy on this forum. Good luck guys.

Next week we will continue working on “out of nowhere” and start working on the new tune ” “.

Aha! Let me take a look and see what I would like. How about something bluesy?

Fed posted his preference under another thread – here it is: Songs: There’s no greater love, Body and Soul.

I’ve added a poll on the top of this page. I’m trying to address Session attendance. Members can answer Yes or No to the subject “I will attend Session 3″. The feedback you get Alex is a head count for Yes/No and a visual of who voted (You’ll need to vote yourself as well). Tell me if this headcount works – for now.

How about this Soul Jazz track “Comin’ Home Baby”? A piece by Bob Dorough and Ben Tucker. I’m attaching PDF files for C, B flat and E flat instruments. Two mp3 tracks: one is full stereo rhythm section – the other split track with melody and removable bass and piano.

Hey Lazarus,
We should play this tune. Especially if you are really into it. However, I think we should pick another one along with this one. This tune is a “Minor Blues” and won’t be difficult for any of us to learn. However, it will be a great way for us to do some playing and try to really stretch out.

How about playing this one: “but not for me
